Jeremy Swayman saved 29 shots for Boston tonight, but they didn’t clinch their division because Maple Leafs won against Florida Panthers.
Bruin’s record 55-11-5 allows them to have a high chance to finish with more than 62 victories this season and break the record.
The goals for the visiting team from Canada were scored by Kirby Dach, and Nick Suzuki on power plays.
Montreal Canadiens play next against Columbus Blue Jackets in Canada on Saturday while Bruins host Tampa Bay Lightning also on Saturday.
