Alpha Romeo’s Valtteri Bottas believes that his former team-mate Lewis Hamilton is still the fastest driver in Formula 1. The Finn drove with Hamilton for 5 years and was replaced by George Russell for the start of the 2022 season.
“Lewis is the fastest driver I’ve ever had as a team-mate and I think he’s still the fastest driver in Formula 1. Faster than Max, faster than Leclerc, in my opinion, he is the fastest.”
“First, he’s unpleasantly talented,” Valtteri said. – Besides, Lewis works hard. He works a lot harder than people think, outside of race weekends, not just when there is a race. Very often he is the last pilot to leave the track. Lewis has a huge motivation to perform well, he is very consistent and his results are always good. It’s very hard to beat him. Whenever I was able to beat him, it was a great day for me, but I could never beat him in a title fight.”
