Famous boxer Ryan Garcia tested positive for the performance-enhancing substance ostarine 24 hours before and the day of his victory against Devin Haney in April.
The urine samples were secured before the match, but the results became available later.
Ryan has over a week to request that his B-sample be analyzed. The boxer’s A-sample also screened positive for 19-norandrosterone, but its presence is unconfirmed until more analysis.
“People know that I don’t cheat,” Ryan shared on social media. “I have never consumed steroids. … I don’t know where I can buy steroids. … I barely take supplements. That’s not true, and I defeated him fairly.”
Ryan (25) floored Haney 3 times and triumph by majority decision, but that result will be overturned unless the B-sample returns negative, which is happening very rarely.
The Haney camp reacted to the news of Garcia’s test and shared that they are sad about the fans of Ryan’s cheating.
