Carlo Ancelotti will become the new head coach of the Brazilian men’s national football team, although he hasn’t officially left Los Blancos.
The Italian, whose future became a topic after the disappointing campaign with Real Madrid, as his team was eliminated from the Champions League in the ¼ finals from Arsenal, and after the defeat of El Clásico yesterday, Los Blancos also lost the fight for the title in LaLiga.
The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) shared today that he would leave the Royal club after their final match of the league campaign, vs. Real Sociedad, and become the manager of Selecao, with his official beginning at his new position on May 26, 2025.

Ancelotti will be Brazil’s 1st foreign manager.
“Appointing Carlo Ancelotti as the new head coach of Brazil is more than a strategic move,” the CBF president revealed. “We share with the world that we are ready to be the most dominant national team again. Ancelotti is the greatest manager in history, and he will lead the greatest national team in the world. I have no doubt that together we will write glorious new chapters for our nation.”
