The Red Devils couldn't pile on last week's win over Chelsea, suffering heavy defeat in London

Brentford delivered a memorable performance at the Gtech Community Stadium, defeating Manchester United 3-1 in the sixth round of the Premier League.

The “Bees” took the lead early on. In the 8th minute, Jordan Henderson sent a precise long ball behind United’s defense, where Thiago capitalized on Harry Maguire’s delayed movement and smashed a shot into the top right corner past Altay Bayundir.

Brentford continued to press and doubled their advantage in the 18th minute. Thiago outmuscled Matthijs de Ligt before setting up Kevin Schade, whose cross was parried by Bayundir. The rebound fell kindly to Thiago, who made no mistake to claim his second of the game.

United struggled to respond but managed to pull one back in the 25th minute. Patrick Dorgu’s cross created chaos in the box, and although Kelleher stopped Benjamin Sesko’s initial efforts, the Slovenian striker finally converted at the third attempt to net his first goal for the club.

The Red Devils had a golden chance to equalize in the 71st minute when Nathan Collins fouled Bryan Mbeumo inside the box. After a lengthy VAR review, Fernandes stepped up from the spot, but Kelleher guessed correctly and turned away the effort to preserve Brentford’s lead.

Deep into stoppage time, substitute Mathias Jensen sealed the victory with a powerful strike from the edge of the penalty area to ignite celebrations among the home supporters.
