Brighton & Hove Albion have agreed a 5-year contract to ink Gambia winger Yankuba Minteh from Newcastle United, the team shared today.
Yankuba Minteh left Steve Biko FC in Gambia in August 2022 for Odense BK.
Moved to Newcastle United a year later, spent a loan at Feyenoord — now a £30-million signing for Brighton.

The teenager joined the Seagulls after a successful campaign on loan at Feyenoord, which finished 2nd in the Eredivisie, where the winger played 37 matches in all tournaments, netting 10 goals in the Dutch top-tier division.
Brighton will pay 37 million dollars for the player to the Magpies. Newcastle wanted to make a major transfer until the end of the past month to avoid the chance of breaking EPL profit and sustainability rules.
“Minteh is a young talent who we like very much, and we’re happy that he became part of our club,” the Seagulls technical director David Weir shared after the transfer.
Yankuba joined Danish side Odense BK 2 years ago before inking with the Magpies in the past year and being sent to Feyenoord.
The winger scored against Celtics in the UCL and has played 7 matches for his country, Gambia, netting 3 goals.
