The Denver Broncos was considered the new team of Dalvin Cook. However, after the running back is now a free agent, the franchise is not trying to sign him.
The RB was released by the Minnesota Vikings a few days ago. Denver’s head coach Sean Payton shared that he wants to have different choices for the position. For the franchise, the new addition Samaje Perine will have to be crucial in the upcoming season for the team as they also expect 3rd campaign option Javonte Williams to recover fully from his torn ACL and to be in form for the beginning of the new season in September.
Denver wants to add 1 or 2 more RBs, but Dalvin’s salary seems to be the problem for him to land in the franchise.
Update: Former #Vikings RB Dalvin Cook is looking for a “Significant contract” in free-agency.
Cook won’t sign a $4-5 million type of contract, per @tompelissero
