The Cleveland Browns have optimized their squad, securing WR Jerry Jeudy in an exchange with the Denver Broncos.

Cleveland will send Broncos this year’s 5th and 6th-round selection to finish the exchange. The trade cannot become official until the NFL’s new season begins in a few days.
Browns wanted Jeudy since last offseason. With Denver moving on from QB Russell Wilson while revamping their squad, the wide receiver became tradeable.
Jerry, who turns 25 in April, had 54 receptions for 758 yards and 2 TDs in the past campaign. Jeudy will give Cleveland QB Deshaun Watson another option, slotting in behind Pro Bowl WR Amari Cooper and Pro Bowl TE David Njoku.
A 2020 1st-round selection, Jerry is beginning the final year of his rookie deal after Denver exercised his 5th-year option in the past campaign. Jeudy is set to make 13 million dollars this year. Jeudy, Cooper, and WR Elijah Moore, whom Cleveland traded for instead of Jerry in the past campaign, are all beginning their final campaign under the deal.
