Cleveland finished the 2025 campaign with a 5-12 record en route to their 2nd consecutive last-place finish in the AFC North and their 4th losing campaign under Kevin.
“We are grateful for everything that Stefanski did for the Cleveland Browns in the last 6 years,” team owners Jimmy and Dee Haslam shared. “Stefanski is a good boss and an even better person. We acknowledge everything that he did for our franchise, but our results over the last 2 years have not been great, and that’s why we take this step.”
Cleveland has revealed that Andrew Berry, who arrived in the organization with Stefanski in 2020, will keep his job as GM.
Kevin’s firing comes 2 campaigns after Kevin triumphed with his 2nd NFL Coach of the Year award and less than 2 seasons after he inked a deal extension.
From 2020 to 2023, Kevin led Cleveland to 2 postseason appearances and the highest winning percentage (.552) for the Browns over a 4-year period since 1986-89. But his results in the last 2 campaigns, with a combined record of 8-26, led to his dismissal.
