Boston secured the Presidents' Trophy after the victory tonight against Columbus.

David Pastrnak was the hero with his goal after 41 seconds in overtime for the victory. It was Pastrnak’s 53rd goal since the beginning of the season and secured Boston Bruins‘s 2-1 victory against Columbus Blue Jackets at TD Garden in Boston, MA.

Hampus Lindholm gave the assist for the win that wrapped the Presidents’ Trophy.

This trophy is awarded to the franchise that finishes with the most points in the season. Boston needs only 4 more wins to tie the NHL record of Detroit and Tampa Bay.

Tyler Bertuzzi scored on a power play to make it 1:1 in the 2nd period as goaltender Linus Ullmark stopped 25 shots for Bruins’ 8 victory in their last 9 matches.

The goal for Blue Jackets was scored by Jack Roslovic. Michael Hutchinson saved 29 shots, but Columbus lost 6 of their last 8 matches.

Columbus will host Florida Panthers on Saturday, while Boston will make a trip to face Pittsburgh Penguins on the same day.
