Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced on Thursday that kicker Succop will no longer be part of the team. This release is part of the strategy for the next season’s salary cap, as other veterans from the team have already been released.

Veteran kicker Ryan Succop joined the Florida franchise in 2020, days before the start of the new season. It ended with a Super Bowl for him alongside Tom Brady, and Succop helped as he made 28/31 field goal attempts. The Tampa Bay record for scored points for a season is his with 136.
The following season, Ryan scored 25/30 on field goal attempts, but last season, he scored only 31 of 38, which can be why the Bucs decided to release him.
Tampa Bay remains with one kicker after signing Jake Verity back in January.
