The Bucks are the only undefeated team in the NBA

Giannis Antetokounmpo finished with 32 points, 12 rebounds and five steals in 29 minutes to help Milwaukee Bucks match a record for the best starts in franchise history by downing the Detroit Pistons 116-91 on Wednesday.

The Bucks, who beat Pistons for the second time in three nights, matched the 1971-72 and 2018-19 teams by beginning the season 7-0.

The Bucks are the only undefeated team in the NBA.

“I’m happy that the team is winning, but that’s like second,” said Antetokounmpo. “I’m happy that the team is building good habits.

“I’m happy that we can be good even if we don’t make shots, that it doesn’t affect us. We still play hard, we still move the ball. Guys are not talking by themselves, we talk to one another. We are in a very good place.”

Milwaukee defeated the Pistons for the 15th time in the last 16 regular-season meetings.

“We got really good players on the roster that (general manager) Jon Horst put together,” Bucks coach Mike Budenholzer said. “It’s deep and diverse.

“Obviously I think Giannis (Antetokounmpo) and Brook (Lopez) are kind of those guys that anchor us on both ends. We got some size size and physicality and athleticism on the front line.”
