Klutch Sports represented the player and negotiated his contract with Miami.
Acquired by the Knicks from the Pistons in a deadline exchange in the past campaign to shore up their backcourt depth, Alec averaged almost 7 points in 13 and half minutes on the court to end the regular campaign with the team from the Big Apple.
However, after OG Anunoby’s problem that sidelined him in the East Conference ½ final matchup vs. the Pacers, he received more minutes on the court and impressed with nearly 18 points on 51% shooting across 5 matches in that series, showing his valuable role off the bench.
He is a veteran of 13 campaigns in the league after being picked by the Jazz in 2011. The guard has averaged at least 10 points per match since the 2019-20 campaign, while coming off the bench.
