As he was entering a contract year with a 2.95 million dollar salary and 3.8 million dollars against the cap, Minnesota Vikings probably decided to pick up the space for the new season with the contract.

Ham’s stats last NFL season included ten passes for 86 yards, and 4 carries for seven yards. It was awe-inspiring that he made 9 first downs on his fourteen touches.
Last season C.J. was ranked 4th in special teams snaps as he played a career-high 324. He was not very active on offense, as he played only 169 which was one of the lowest performances in his career so far.
C.J. Ham will continue to be part of the Vikings, where he spent all of his time in the NFL so far – 6 seasons and made it to the Pro Bowl once.
