Penn State's coach Shrewsberry will become the new head coach of Notre Dame.

Micah will take the role of the new head coach of Notre Dame Fighting Irish from Mike Brey, who left after the season.

This is bad news for Penn State as they hoped to continue with Shrewsberry at the helm and were ready to offer him a long and profitable contract. However, now they must start searching for a new coach for the Nittany Lions.

Shrewsberry began to work as head coach of Penn State in 2021. His first season was not very significant, as he ended with a negative record of 14-17, but his second season was much better, and they recorded 23 wins and 14 losses, and his team qualified for March Madness.

Penn State reached the 2nd round after shocking No. 7 Texas A&M but then lost as a total underdog to No. 2 Texas.

Nittany Lions’ victory over Texas A&M was their first in the NCAA tournament since 2001.
