The Ecuador international joined from the Seagulls during the past summer for a fee of 147 million dollars.
“At the beginning, it was tough for me,” the midfielder revealed to ESPN Argentina. “I wasn’t happy because I felt a little pressure because of what the club paid for me and because Chelsea were struggling. Now I’m enjoying it, I think in this 2nd part of the season, I’m doing it, I’m happy to play.
“It is crucial for a footballer to do his job and enjoy it because that is what he works for. I have been working in every training session since my transfer to Stamford Bridge with a smile, enjoying it, and now I feel the same way when I’m on the pitch, helping the club and I’m satisfied.”
Caicedo, who has played 23 Premier League matches for the Blues since the beginning of the campaign, thinks the team is moving in the right direction.
