The Czechs remain third in the standings

Canada won 3-1 against the Czech Republic on the final day of preliminary-round play.

Tyler Myers scored the go-ahead goal at 4:09 of the third period with Lawson Crouse adding an empty netter with 35.6 seconds remaining to seal the win.

Canada now finishes second in Group B with 15 points, while today’s opponent is now third.

Coming out with its most determined first period of the tournament, Canada dominated form start to finish and was full measure for its 1-0 lead through Peyton Krebs. The Czech Republic equalized 2:06 minutes into the second period when Kaut was able to send the puck behind Montembeault.
