Canada’s Alphonso Davies takes home CONCACAF award

Davies wins the award for a 2nd straight year.

Alphonso Davies triumphed with CONCACAF Men’s Player of the Year as he won the award also last year.

The Canadian is the first footballer that won the award in straight years. The CONCACAF accomplishment was 1st rewarded in 2013.

Keylor Navas had also received the award 2 times, but now in straight years (2014 and 2017).

Khadija Shaw (Jamaica) triumphed with the women’s version of the award.

Managers, footballers, media, and fans that are part of the CONCACAF have the right to vote for Men’s Player of the Year.

Jonathan David, also from Canada, was also part of the finalists that had the chance to win the award.

Alphonso, who plays more in defense for Bayern Munich, helps a lot more in the attack for his national team, and he had 3 goals in 7 international games last year.
