Quinn Hughes proved to be the hero for Vancouver as his goal and an assist inspired his team to victory.
J.T. Miller and Sam Lafferty scored the other two goals to help the Canucks end second two-game skid of the season. Goaltender Thatcher Demko made 27 saves.
Thomas Hertl scored the sole goal for San Jose, who has lost its last 4 out 5 games.
“Turnovers hurt us a lot during the course of the night,” Sharks coach David Quinn said. “We had complete control and just turn pucks over too much tonight against that team, which they can really thrive on and just didn’t do enough to win.”
