St. Louis and Lance are reuniting again.

Lance Lynn and the St. Louis Cardinals agreed on a 1-season deal with an organization option that guarantees 10 million dollars and reunites the player with the franchise that selected him a decade and a half ago.

Lance, who played in the 1st 6 years of his career in St. Louis, has been part of 5 organizations since leaving the Cardinals and returns after a campaign in which he ended with an elite strikeout rate but disappointed with the home run ball.

The contract, which features bonuses and escalators, is yet to become official as the player will 1st undergo a physical, which could be worth up to 26 million dollars if St. Louis exercises the team option.

Cardinals’ poor pitching led to the organization’s worst full campaign (71-91) since 1990.
