Carlo Ancelotti and Xavi Hernandez have repeatedly demonstrated that despite being coaches of the teams with the fiercest rivalry in La Liga, their relationship is very cordial.
When asked about the Catalan’s situation, the Italian coach didn’t hesitate to compliment him and share his thoughts on the coaching profession.
“I can’t choose which is the toughest team. Generally, it’s normal for a coach to face criticism. We have to accept it. Everyone can decide which criticism they consider fair or unfair. Coaches’ evaluations are solely based on results. No one cares about the coach’s methodology or their ability to manage the dressing room. It’s only about whether they win or not, and Xavi knows this very well. For me, he is an excellent coach,” stated Carlo.
This highlights that the Italian, who is already a veteran on the reserve bench, maintains excellent relations with all his colleagues, especially with Xavi, against whom he has faced several times.
