LA Chargers QB Justin Herbert was diagnosed with a plantar fascia problem in his right foot after yesterday’s practice that will put him in a walking boot for 2 weeks, the franchise revealed today.
After his boot removal in 14 days, the quarterback will be on a “gradual return to play protocol” and is expected to be ready to be on the field at the start of the campaign, the organization added.
Justin has moved without any limitation through the 1st week of the camp. Yesterday, Herbert sprinted into the end zone for a score in an 11-on-11 period and celebrated with teammates.
The Chargers quarterback was 1 of the most durable in his position in the league in his 1st 4 campaigns. Justin started 62 straight matches, the 2nd-longest active streak by a QB, before a fracture to his right index finger in Week 14 in the past season ended his campaign.
Justin’s reserve, Easton Stick, went without a victory in his team’s final 4 matches. Stick, Max Duggan, and Casey Bauman are the other QBs in the organization.
