Charlotte Hornets player Miles Bridges agreed to a 7.9 million dollar qualifying offer for the next campaign, as after the qualifying offer for the 2023-2024 season, he will become an unrestricted free agent after the end of the campaign.
Talks between Charlotte and Miles stalled on a new contract, and the player ended negotiations as he inked his qualifying offer, and in the next summer, the franchise could lose him for free as he will be able to join any franchise he wants.

The deal also gives the opportunity to Bridges to veto any trade this campaign that the Hornets offer.
The problem with the new contract was because Bridges missed the entire past campaign after a felony domestic violence incident, as he will be unavailable for the 1st 10 matches of the new NBA season, as the league suspended him for that time.
