Chelsea is reportedly in the final stages of negotiations with Enzo Maresca, the current manager of Leicester City, and he is expected to officially sign with the London club soon, according to journalist Gianluca Di Marzio.
The “Blues” are seeking a new manager after deciding to part ways with Mauricio Pochettino at the end of the Premier League season as they plan to embark on a new project in West London.
Maresca has made a strong impression in his debut season at Leicester, swiftly guiding the team back to the Premier League following his arrival last year. Before taking the helm at Leicester, he worked alongside Pep Guardiola at Manchester City and had a brief managerial stint at Parma.
Maresca has emerged as the leading candidate in Chelsea’s search for a new manager, with negotiations progressing well over the past few days, bringing the two parties closer to an agreement. Only a few details remain to be finalized.
