Mahomes threw a 3-yard TD pass to Mecole Hardman in OT, and Kansas City rallied to defeat San Francisco 25-22 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, NV, becoming the league’s 9th repeat Super Bowl champions.
That was the Chiefs 3rd Super Bowl triumph in the past 5 years, a run that puts them among the NFL’s greatest organizations.

The National Football League’s 1st Super Bowl in Las Vegas was not the show that we expected until the 4th quarter and the overtime. It was the 2nd of 58 title matches to be even after regular time and the 1st played under new OT rules that ensured that both franchises got the ball.

Kansas City trailed 22-19 after Jake Moody scored a 27-yard FG on the 1st possession of OT, but Patrick rallied his team back, securing another impressive comeback in a rematch of the Super Bowl 4 years ago.
