Free agent Christian Wood has signed a 1+1-year contract with the Los Angeles Lakers, the team announced.
The contract of the 27-year-old basketball player is worth a total of 5.7 million dollars, and the player himself will be able to choose whether to extend it after the end of the first season or become a free agent again.
“It’s always been my dream to be a Laker,” Wood shared on social media.
The upcoming season will be the center’s eighth in the NBA. His last team was the Dallas Mavericks, for whom he averaged 16.6 points and 7.3 rebounds per game. His strongest season was in 2020/21, when he registered 21 points and 9.6 rebounds with the Houston Rockets team.
