The Mexican team won the Scotiabank CONCACAF Champions League.

Club Leon is the new CONCACAF Champions League champion after defeating in two legs in the final Los Angeles FC.

The Mexican club won the 1st leg 2-1 at home after goals from William Tesillo and Angel Mena in the 1st half. However, the American team netted their only goal in the 6th minute of the extra time in the 2nd half to keep their chances as the goal-scored Denis Bouanga.

However, Club Leon also won the 2nd leg at BMO Stadium in LA 1-0 after Lucas Di Yorio’s goal in the 20th minute as the assist gave Ivan Moreno.

That was the 1st CONCACAF Champions League title for Club Leon as they played in the final in 1993 but lost it. Seattle Sounders FC won the previous edition.
