Columbus Crew forward Kevin Molino has undergone meniscectomy on his knee and is set to miss the next 6-8 weeks, the club announced on Tuesday.
The player from Trinidad and Tobago has missed his team Matchday 4 2-1 loss to New York Red Bulls, due to receiving this treatment. He has played all three matches beforehand, coming on as a substitute in all three.
Molino is well familiar with this sort of injury, having suffered ACL’s torn throughout the majority of the 2021 season. Back then he signed for the Columbus team.
The 32-year old has bagged 34 goals and 29 assists in over 129 appearances in the MLS, playing for Minessota United FC (2017-2020) and Orlando City SC (2015-16).
Columbus, who currently sit with 4 points out of 4 games, host Atlanta United on Saturday.
