Washington Commanders QB Jayden Daniels will be unavailable for the MNF match at the Kansas City Chiefs because he is suffering from a Grade 1 hamstring strain.
The quarterback underwent an MRI at the beginning of the week that showed no long-term damage to his right hamstring, but Washington will not take any risks, and he will miss the game vs. the Chiefs.
Marcus Mariota will replace him as he will start for a 3rd time at QB for the Commanders.
Marcus replaced Jayden when he got hurt with 11:53 remaining in the 3rd quarter vs. the Cowboys last weekend. He completed 4 of 10 passes for 63 yards and threw a pick that CB DaRon Bland returned for a TD.

Jayden sustained a sprained left knee when he took a helmet to it at the end of a scramble against the Packers in Week 2, causing him to be ruled out for the next 2 matches. Washington’s record is 1-1 in those clashes, with a combined score of 61 points.
