The 2023 NFL Draft may be gone, but that doesn’t mean that Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has let go on the idea of acquiring Ezekiel Elliot.
When asked about he stated that “the ship has not sailed”.
“We haven’t made a decision. We’ve obviously drafted a running back, a little different style than Zeke, but it doesn’t change … For us, as far as our interest in Zeke, nothing we did today changes that.”
Dallas have selected Kansas States’ Deuce Vaughn and have now five running back in the roster along with Tony Pollard, Malik Davis, Ronald Jones and Rico Dowdle.
With that artillery it would seem unlikely Elliot would return after being released as a free agent last year. But that doesn’t mean Jerry Jones won’t try to lure him back to the club.
