Craig had worked as assistant GM and has been part of the franchise front office since 2010, when he retired.
Conroy, who played for almost 9 years over 2 periods with the Calgary during his NHL career, will take the post from Brad Treliving.
Brad and the Canadian NHL franchise decided to part ways after the end of the campaign after he spent nearly 12 years with the Flames.
Don Maloney is Calgary’s President of Hockey Operations as he also serves as interim GM.
Busy week ahead for a couple of Canadian teams. Craig Conroy will be named the GM of the Calgary Flames, while the Maple Leafs begin their GM process in earnest. Expect other additions in Calgary as well.
