Jeff Carter scored 2 goals for the win as Sidney Crosby also notched in the 2nd period to reach the 30-goal mark on Wednesday night as this happened for the 11th time in his career.

Crosby tied Mario Lemieux in the Hall of Fame of Penguins for the highest 30 goal seasons. Sidney scored at least 30 goals for the first time at 18 years old and now did it when he is over 35.

Jake Guentzel and Bryan Rust added the other 2 goals for the victory, giving them a chance to fight for the playoffs and continue their postseason streak to 17 seasons.

Pittsburgh Penguins goaltender Jarry saved 28 shots and helped his team against another Western Conference opponent.

Colorado Avalanche ended 6 game winning streak despite Alexandar Georgiev stopping 40 shots.

Pittsburgh’s next game will be a trip against Dallas on Thursday night, while Colorado will host on Friday Arizona.
