Conor McGregor’s return will not happen anytime soon.
Today, UFC revealed that the ex-UFC featherweight and lightweight champ has been suspended for a year and a half after violating the whereabouts policy under the promotion’s anti-doping program.
The Irish fighter missed 3 testing samples within a year period in 2024.
Conor was initially set to be suspended for 2 years, but after cooperation, they decided to cut it to a year and a half. The suspension date will start with the last missed test on September 20th, 2024, and that means that he could fight again in the UFC on March 20th, 2026.
McGregor has shared recently that he already received a green light from the UFC about his return to the ring as he eyes the event at the White House, which the USA President Donald Trump shared will be organized in June next year.
However, UFC president Dana White shared a few days ago that despite McGregor’s interest in fighting in the White House, this has not been decided yet, and no fights have been made yet.
