Daniel Jones has missed second consecutive practice session with the New York Giants on Thursday and it seems unlikely the quarterback will make a return against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday night.
The Giants coach Brian Dabol refused to give detailed information about Jones’ condition and said his status will be determined in the next couple of days.
Jones sustained the injury during 31-16 loss to Miami last Sunday. The 26-year-old is no stranger to such issues as he missed the final 6 games of the 2021 season with the exactly the same problem. However, he said that this time is not as serious as from 2 years ago.
Jones is 104 of 151 for 884 yards, two touchdowns and six interceptions this season. He has been sacked 28 times playing behind a line decimated by injuries. The sixth pick in the 2019 draft has rushed for 197 yards and a touchdown.
