Alpha Tauri driver Daniel Ricciardo will return for the US Grand Prix in Austin. He announced the news himself on Saturday – one week before the race in Texas.
The Australian has been out of F1 since the Dutch Grand Prix at the end of August after suffering a broken metacarpal bone in a free practice crash. Ricciardo underwent surgery on his left wrist and has been recovering ever since.

Liam Lawson filled in for the Aussie and put in an excellent performance, bringing Alpha Tauri two points from his five race, but now will have to step aside to make place for the Australian, who made a comeback to Formula 1 after starting the season as Red Bull’s reserve driver.
