Daniil Medvedev is the 2023 Rome Masters Champion

Daniil Medvedev, world number 3, shocked all tennis fans after making his 1^st win in his career in the Italian Open in the 2^nd round; the Russian continued with the victories and ended up with the trophy at the Rome Masters 1000 after defeating Holger Rune, world number 7, in straight sets (7-5, 7-5).

Medvedev needed only 1 break to win the 1^st set 7-5. The Russian triumphed in the 2^nd set with the same result; this time, he broke his opponent’s serve 3 times while also allowing Rune to break him twice.
