Nashville Predators have signed defenseman Dante Fabbro to a one-year, $2.5 million contract for the 2023-24 season, the NHL club’s president of hockey operations/general Manager David Poile announced on Friday.

The 24-year-old Fabbro (6/20/98) has eight points (1g-7a) and a 3 rating in 56 games for Nashville this season, his fourth as a full-time NHLer.
Fabbro has also dished out a career-high 71 hits, the second-most among Predators defensemen, six of which came on Tuesday vs. Pittsburgh, his most in a game this season.
He has skated in 230 career games since making his NHL debut with the Predators in 2018-19, and last season, he set career highs in nearly every category, including games played (66), assists (21), points (24) and plus-minus ( 13).
As a rookie in 2019-20, the Coquitlam, B.C., native averaged 19:02 of ice time, the fifth-most among NHL rookie defensemen (min. 41 GP) while tying for the fourth-most goals (5) and appearing in the fifth-most games played (64) in a single season among first-year blueliners in Predators history.
