DeAndre Jordan is inking with the New Orleans Pelicans on a 1-campaign, 3.6 million dollar deal. The franchise revealed the signing of Jordan without giving details about the contract.
With the Pelicans, DeAndre will try to find time on the court on a front line led by the organization’s player, Zion Williamson, who has missed at least 12 matches in each of his campaigns in the league. New Orleans is without center Kevon Looney, who is unavailable for the beginning of the campaign with a left knee problem.
The new Pelicans center, who is a 3-time All-NBA center and 2023 champ with the Nuggets, is beginning his 18th year in the NBA.
He was part of Denver in the past 3 years and was used as a reserve center, as he helped in crucial moments with his experience. Jordan was part of 56 matches in the past campaign, his most in the past 5 years, averaging almost 4 points and over 5 boards.
