Grigor Dimitrov reached Roland Garros 1/8-finals stage after third consecutive 3:0 win in Paris after beating Daniel Altmaier 6:4; 6:3; 6:1 after a little over two hours of play.
The Bulgarian had a break lead in the first set, but lost the advantage getting into 4:4 tie, but managed to close the part 6:4 with another break.
In set 2 Dimitrov again broke Altmaier in his first serve game and controlled the gap until 6:3. In the third set Dimitrov fired in all cylinders and got a 5:0 lead, but lost the sixth game serving for the win. Altmaier won his next game, but the Bulgarian finished it off after that.

In the next stage Dimitrov will face the winner of Alexander Zverev – Frances Tiafoe clash.
