The ex-Wimbledon champ Goran became Nole’s main coach 2 years ago, having worked with the Serbian alongside long-time coach Marian Vajda since 2018.
Novak has 24 Grand Slam triumphs but has started very badly according to his standards in the current season.
” Ivanisevic and I decided to stop working together several days ago,” the world number 1 shared on social media.
“Our on-court chemistry had positive and negative moments, but our friendship will remain great how it has always been.”
Nole was eliminated in the ½ finals at the Australian Open at the beginning of the year, lost in the 3rd round by world number 123 Luka Nardi at Indian Wells at the beginning of March, and then decided not to play in Miami, sharing that the decision for his withdraw is to find a balance.
Djokovic added that he remembers when he decided to invite Ivanisevic to join his coaching staff 6 years ago as the Serbian was looking to improve his serve.
