Novak Djokovic secured an incredible comeback triumph against Jannik Sinner in 5-set drama in the ½ finals of the Australian Open.
The Serbian’s 3-6, 6-3, 4-6, 6-4, 6-4 victory vs. Jannik in a clash that expanded past 1:30 a.m. local time in Melbourne means they will have the opportunity to compete for an unprecedented 25th Grand Slam championship.

Awaiting Nole in the final, Carlos Alcaraz, who, along with Jannik, has secured the last 8 Grand Slams. The Spaniard eliminated Alexander Zverev in another 5-setter in the 1st ½ final, an almost 5 and a half hour clash that was the longest ½ final ever in Australia.
“I believe, guys, you enjoyed a great show for your ticket,” Nole joked with the fans after they watched two 5-set clashes in the semifinals.
Jannik’s defeat was his 1st at the Australian Open since 2023 after winning the title in the last 2 years.
The Serbian fended off a staggering 16 of 18 break-point chances he faced as he ended a run of 5 consecutive defeats to Jannik, winning in almost 4 hours and 10 minutes.
