Moments after leaving the court after his consecutive-sets defeat against Jannik Sinner in the ½ finals, the Serbian claimed that he didn’t believe that this would be his final match on the Grand Slam on grass in London.
Nole had an emotional send-off after he walked off the court after the 6-3, 6-3, 6-4 loss. Djokovic turned to wave to all sides of Centre Court as the fans were on their feet and clapping. After the game, the media asked him if that was the last clash of his career at Wimbledon.
“I hope that I will be able to return and play at Wimbledon again,” shared Nole. “It’s not my aim to finish my career at this tournament today. So at the moment I will do everything possible to be part of Wimbledon at least 1 more time, competing on the Centre Court, without a doubt,” added the Serbian.
Novak revealed that he does everything possible when it comes to training and preparing for the Grand Slams, and the fact that he hasn’t triumphed at the Grand Slam this season, or in the last, he will not change that.
