Following his withdraw from the Miami Masters, Novak Djokovic, still the world number one in world tennis, has announced his next appearance on the tennis courts. According to the latest information, Djokovic will be participating in the ATP 1000 Masters in Monte Carlo from April 7th to 14th.
This news has been confirmed by the official website of the world’s top-ranked tennis player.
After an early exit at the Indian Wells Masters, falling in the third round to lesser-known Italian Luca Nardi, and disappointing Australian Open semi-finals defeat, Djokovic opted to skip the ongoing tournament in Miami to recuperate his energy in the heavy schedule he has this year, including the Olympic tournament in Paris.
The Serbian flew to Miami after all, but just to take part in some promotional events of his sponsors.
