Nole triumphed in the 1st set 6-0 for only 21 minutes. Djokovic converted 2 break points from 2 chances in the 2nd set and won 6-4 for 41 minutes after Fritz also broke his opponent’s serve once, but it was not enough for the American to even force the set to a tiebreak.
That was the 7th head-to-head clash between Novak and Taylor, and the Serbian won all of them.
Djokovic will play against world number 17, Alexander Zverev, in the ½ finals in Cincinnati as the Serbian is the favorite.
