Novak Djokovic has shared that the procedure on the meniscus in his right knee “went well” but hasn’t revealed when we can see him back on the court playing competitive tennis.
In the past day, I had to make some tough decisions after sustaining a meniscus tear during my last match. I’m still processing it all but I am happy to update you that the surgery went well.
I am so appreciative of the team of doctors who have been by my side… pic.twitter.com/RYLeR5KW2P

With the Serbian long prioritizing participation at the Olympic Games, it means that most certainly Nole will miss Wimbledon.
Novak sustained the problem in his 4th-round game against Francisco Cerundolo at the beginning of the week. Djokovic played through the pain and triumphed in the end in 5 sets. After the game, Nole was optimistic the knee problem would not sideline him, but an MRI scan on the next day revealed that his injury was serious and would not allow him to continue to play at Roland-Garros.
The Serbian withdraw from his ¼ final match against Casper Ruud and decided to underwent procedure on Wednesday at the French capital.
“In the last several days, I had to make some tough choices after suffering a meniscus tear during my last game,” Nole shared on social media.
