The Los Angeles team ran riot and is closing in on the desired silverware

The Los Angeles Dodgers came out on top against the Seattle Mariners 6-3 to give themselves a major boost for the NL West title on Friday night.

The Los Angeles team can secure his 10th title in the last 11 seasons on Saturday with a win or help from elsewhere.

Miguel Rojas gave the Dodgers an early lead with a two-run homer, while Max Muncy added an RBI triple. J.D. Martinez rounded it off with an RBI single in the 6th and 8th.

“It’s hard to simulate a playoff (game) but this environment tonight was pretty close,” Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said.

Bobby Miller pitched 5 2/3 innings, allowing three runs and struck out seven.

He allowed a solo home run to Eugenio Suárez and an RBI single to Teoscar Hernández in the sixth inning when Seattle edged to a 4-3 lead. Meanwhile, Hernández extended his on-base streak to 29 games, the longest active streak in the majors.
