Things began perfectly for the LA Lakers after the trade that landed Luka Doncic in the franchise, and they started winning immediately, which is already in the past.
The 118-106 defeat against the Orlando Magic dropped the Lakers to 3-7 in the last 10 matches. And at the moment, with just 11 matches remaining in the regular campaign and a top 6 seed in the West far from guaranteed, the loss against Orlando made Doncic reflect on what’s happening.
“For me, we just got a little bit satisfied,” Luka shared. “That’s not something that we can afford at the moment.”
LA is a number 4 seed in the Western Conference and only 3 matches up to the number 7 seed Clippers, who are in the 1st play-in tournament place.
“Me and James must lead the Lakers,” the Slovenian superstar told the media. “I’m to blame for that. I must perform better on the court. I got to be more active like in the 1st half, and I didn’t keep the same energy in the 2nd.”
Los Angeles head coach JJ Redick revealed that the organization is going through a tough time at the moment.
