Gordon Hayward finished with 22 points as P.J. Washington grabbed 12 rebounds and notched 21 for the Charlotte Hornets.
The other Mavs star Kyrie Irving scored 18 points.
Dallas Mavericks will visit Indiana Pacers on Monday night in a must-win game to keep their playoff hopes alive. Hornets will make a trip to face Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday.
