John Collins was Utah's hero with a final basket 6.4 second before the buzzer

John Collins delivered a crucial performance, scoring 28 points and securing the game-winning dunk with just 6.4 seconds left, leading the Utah Jazz to their first home victory of the season with a 115-113 win over the Dallas Mavericks. Collins also contributed nine rebounds in the win, while Jordan Clarkson added 20 points for the Jazz.

On the Mavericks’ side, Luka Doncic was dominant, scoring 37 points, grabbing seven rebounds, and dishing out nine assists. Dallas was without Kyrie Irving due to a right shoulder sprain, and Quentin Grimes stepped up with 15 points and five assists, while Klay Thompson added 17 points.

Dallas held a halftime lead, with Doncic scoring six third-quarter baskets, but Utah gained momentum as the game progressed. A 9-0 run in the third quarter, including a key tip-in layup by Collins, gave the Jazz a 90-78 lead. Despite the Mavericks’ late comeback, capped by Thompson’s three-pointer in the final minute to tie the game, Collins’ decisive dunk secured the Jazz’s narrow victory.
