Armand (24), who had won straight gold medals at the Olympics by clearing 6 metres, set an Olympic record of 6.10m with his next jump.
And after that, Duplantis beat his world best of 6.24m, which he set a few months ago, by 1 centimeter at his 3rd and final attempt at the Olympic Games as he made the fans at Stade de France happy.
The 2-time world champ has now broken the record 9 times in his career and given how high he can jump, it is only a matter of time before Duplantis sets a new world record.
